Dec. continued

The week between Christmas and New Years , Grandpa Taylor took everyone snowmobiling for the day. The boys had a blast they had never been before and had a great time!

Slacker Update Jan.

On 1/1/11 Alex was baptized. It was a great way to spend New Years Day. Alex received a basketball with DWIR written on it to remind him to Do What Is Right from his Uncle Mike. Many of our family was able to attend and support Alex. It was really a special day.

Slacker Update December

Alex turned 8 this December! Time has gone by so quickly. He chose to be baptized and we are all so proud of him!

We took at trip with the family to see the lights at Temple Square. They were beautiful and the night was fairly warm. We stopped at In N Out on the way home and it was really fun.

We celebrated Christmas in our new home. I love watching the kids on Christmas day.
We also added a new member to our damply in Dec. Since we have a fenced yard we thought Janie might enjoy some company. Meet Macey. Tyson named her and we have loved her since the moment we brought her home.

Slacker Update Nov.

In November Josh and I got away to San Francisco for the week. Josh had to go there on business and I was able to attend some jewelry workshops. In one class I learned form folding and I am now addicted. Josh even let me purchase my every own jewelers torch.

We had Thanksgiving with the Taylor side of the clan and our good friend Diane. It was held in our home and turned out to be a really nice day.

Slacker - Update October

Ok, so I realize I haven't posted anything for a while so I will try to do a brief update in pictures with a few words to bring us up to date.

We built a house this year and moved into it in October 2010. This put the kids in a new school and we are in a new ward. Everything is going really well so far and we are happy with our new place.

The boys celebrated Halloween. Cade and Alex decided to be ninjas. Gage was a dinosaur or in his words a "rah rah." Ty dress up as Bo Bo Fet a bounty hunter from Star Wars. They even got Dad in on the action although this is as dressed up as he would get.

Tyson made a tombstone and dedicated it to his cousins ( Melissa & Brittney) dead cat. He used it for the 5th grade performance of Thriller. That was great.

On Halloween we all attended Aunt Carols annual Cookie Party. It is always fun and the kids have a blast making creative Halloween decorated cookies.

Grandma's Garden

This summer while we stayed at Gma and Gpa Taylor's, we helped plant a garden. Gpa did a great job building garden boxes and Gma, I and the boys planted raspberry plants, strawberries, onions, corn, zucchini, tomatoes, pepper, carrots and green beans. It was fun to watch our garden grow and enjoy the many things that came out of our garden. Every time Gage and I went out to pick things Gage would learn a new word. My favorite was "green bean." He would walk around and say green bean over and over again. The day we picked carrots the boys ate so many I am surprised they didn't turn orange. I love the garden and watching the boys explore and enjoy nature.

Mighty Hunters

Yes, these are my mighty hunters. Our boys love it when their Dad takes them to shoot BB guns. They have been quite a few times this summer and I hear they are becoming quite good shots. I have never actually been on one of these trips because they usually happen when Josh takes the boys because I have something I have to do. They come hope happy, smelly and full of stories. It's great!
